Itinerary in Detail

Day 01 :

Kathmandu - Paro
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu. During the flight, one will experience the breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjung and other famous Himalayan peaks including the sacred Mount Chomolhari and Jitchu Drive in Bhutan.

Day 02 :

Paro to Thimphu
In the morning drive to Thimphu.Enroute visit Simkota Dzong which is 6 kms away from Thimphu.In the afternoon visit the Memorial Chorten, a huge stupa built in the memory of third king and the painting school. Here the artists are taught to paint the thankas. Visit the Handicrafts Emporium and Tashichho Dzong, the main secretariat building .You will drive up to Dechencholing to view the palace of the Royal Queen Mother. In the evening you will visit the National Library where vast collection of ancient manuscripts are preserved.

Day 03 :

Thimphu to Punakha Wangdiphodrang
After an early breakfast drive to Punakha and Wangdiphodrang .On the way visit the Dochula Pass.After lunch visit the Punakha Dzong, the former winter capital and present administrative seat of the district. Visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong, which is 13 kms away from Punakha.

Day 04 :

Punakha to Trongsa
After an early breakfast drive to Trongsa.

Day 05 :

Trongsa to Bumthang
Visit Trongsa Dzong, the ancestral home of the royal family and its watchtower.It is presently the administrative seat of the district and the home of the monastic school.After lunch drive to reach Bumthang.

Day 06 :

Bumthang Sightseeing
Sightseeing around Bumthang.Visit the historical Jakar Dzong. Also visit several ancient and sacred Monasteries such as the Jambay Ihakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Kencho sum Lhakhang Tamshing and Pema Samba Lhakhangs.visit member Tso " The flaming Lake " which is considered one of the important pilgrimage spots. A trip to the Bumthang Swiss Farm is also interesting.

Day 07 :

Bumthang Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Ura Valley and take a leisurely stroll through the clustered village. Ura also has

Day 08 :

Bumthang to Gangtey
After breakfast drive to Gangtey.

Day 09 :

Gangtey to Paro to Kathmandu Fly
Early morning drive to Paro and fly back Kathmandu.

All journey by land cruisers for guests and trucks for staffs and equipment except for the ‘Kailash parikrama’ portion.
