Makalu Trek

Makalu is one of the few places in the world where one can find unspoiled wilderness in the Makalu-Barun National Park, which is a virtually uninhabited 1,500 kilometer square area in eastern Nepal. This remote park stretches east from Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park between the high plateaus of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and the deep subtropical gorge carved by the Arun River.
